Sentiment

For some reason I find this picture very calming. I was reading in my room and, as I looked over to my desk, I realised how lovely this mess looks. There's something in it that I can't explain, but I know it has something to do with the icons. Now, I am not religious but those pictures of Jesus and Mary really calm me and I think the reason could be that the author was a believer, therefore putting a lot of personal feelings and faithfulness the process of creating these pictures. For all those three icons the author is unknown which adds to the mysterious calmness these religious pictures exhale.

I used to hate anything associated with any religion. I thought the whole idea behind it is stupid and the followers even worse.
What about now?
It doesn't bother me. People are different with different dreams, experiences and lives. What a person decides to believe in is none of my business and if the belief helps them get through life, then that's wonderful and no one is authorised to judge them.
